Day 1: Malaga – Granada ( ca. 110 km)
Take a drive of around 1.5 hours to the Granada mountains at the foot of the impressive Sierra Nevada. The old centre with many shops and stately Ramblas has a lot to offer. Of course, you can pay a visit to the Alhambra, the impressive palace complex with beautiful gardens above the city. (Tip: reserve your entrance tickets in advance on Ticketmaster (click) to avoid disappointment, there is a maximum number of tickets sold each day!
Day 2: Granada
Today you are staying an extra day in this beautiful city, where you can stroll through the Albaicin, the old Moorish quarter of the city. You can also relax in one of the Alhambra’s beautiful parks or take a nice walk.
Day 3: Granada – Jaén (ca. 90 km)
After breakfast you can calmly drive to your next hotel in Jaen. The impressive palace and the Parador standing high above the city are well worth a visit. In Jaen we will reserve you a very special hotel like a Parador (monastery, castle or abbey) or a small luxurious Palacio with a unique atmosphere!
Day 4: Jaen – Córdoba (ca. 90 km)
An hour’s drive away and you are in the capital of the caliphate Al Andalus, situated on the River Guadalquivir. You can park your car for free on the other side of the river and walk across the new bridge to the old town. You will find a wonderful world with one of the most beautiful mosques in the country and a Gothic cathedral built here. Cordoba has a maze of narrow streets where you can eat delicious tapas in the afternoon. We will reserve you a good hotel in or near the city center.
Day 5: Cordoba – Seville (ca. 90 km)
One of the most beautiful cities in Spain with many sights. Take a walk to the Plaza Espana and the beautiful Maria Luisa Park with its unique pavilions. Visit the huge Cathedral with the Giralda and the unique Santa Cruz district. Seville is a city which bustles day and night with its many streets, shops and large squares. You will stay here for 2 nights.
Day 6: Sevilla
Enjoy this vibrant city that is always alive! Take a pleasant stroll along the river and walk over one of the bridges to the Triana district. The locals in Seville know what the real Spanish life means and enjoy plenty of it. You can wander through the narrow streets and in one of the hundreds of small restaurants have lunch or dinner.
Day 7: Sevilla – Jerez de la Frontera (ca. 80 km)
Along beautiful roads and through small villages you will come to Jerez de la Frontera, Sherry City. The place exudes real Spanish atmosphere and you will find here the quiet life with lots of wineries, cafes and small shops. You can visit one of the famous Bodegas Tio Pepe or the famous hourse go????. We will reserve you a good hotel in or near the historic center of Jerez.
Day 8: Jerez de la Frontera – Arcos de la Frontera (ca. 40 km)
From Jerez it’s only a short drive to Arcos, one of the most beautiful white villages of Andalusia. This place is known for the huge rock formations on which the village and the famous Parador Arcos are built. Experience the real village atmosphere of Arcos and even the real Spanish temperament.
Day 9: Arcos de la Frontera – Ronda (ca. 85 km)
We’re heading to the popular but so beautiful Ronda. The village is virtually free of cars, and horse-drawn carriages ride through the narrow streets. Enjoy the typical atmosphere, the impressive bridges and deep canyon.
Day 10: Ronda – Algeciras / Gibraltar (ca. 110 km)
Today you will drive through the mountains and the narrow back roads to the coast, where you turn towards Algeciras. From the castle-like Hotel Reina Cristina you have a magnificent view of Gibraltar. We will make reservations for two nights in this excellent hotel, set in a beautiful garden / park with swimming pool.
Day 11: Gibraltar or Tarifa / Cadiz
Today you can choose to visit Gibraltar or take a drive along the coast and the Strait of Gibraltar from Tarifa and on to Cadiz. You can also enjoy the many amenities of the hotel with beautiful gardens.
Day 12: Algeciras – Marbella area (ca. 80 km)
You can drive along the coast towards Marbella / Estepona. Today you can visit Marbella with its orange square, the fashionable Puerto Banus marina and admire the glitz and glamor of this famous place!
Day 13: Marbella – Mijas (ca. 40 km)
From Marbella you can drive along the coast to the white village of Mijas with its magnificent view over the sea. We will reserve you a nice hotel in the centre of Mijas where you can explore the village on foot.
Day 14: Mijas – Malaga (ca. 45 km)
For your last day in Andalusia you will be staying in Malaga. This city has in recent years undergone a tremendous change and has become a beautiful mature harbor city. You can visit the famous Picasso Museum to conclude this beautiful journey. We will reserve you a good hotel in the centre of Malaga.
Day 15: Málaga – journey home
Your car tour ends today. You could even extend your stay for several days at a beach hotel before traveling back again!
