BERGAMO - PISA - SIENA - FLORENCE – VERONA
Day 1: Bergamo
Bergamo is located about 50 kilometres east of Milan and has a beautiful hilltop old town that invites you to stroll and shop. The Alta is picturesque as a fortress surrounded by thick walls on a hill. The old town of Bergamo is car free so you can stroll through the streets, take a bus to the upper town (line 1) and take the cable car, where you have a magnificent view of the Po Valley. The cable ends in Piazza delle Scarpe, where the shoemakers’ guild once had its headquarters. Upon entering the upper city through the “main” gate at the Piazza Vecchia and the Citadel, if you go through the gate to St. Alessandro, there is another funicular further up to the hamlet of San Vigillio.
Day 2: Bergamo – Pisa (approx. 230 km)
From Bergamo take the southern route through the historic city of Parma (ham) and see many monumental buildings adjacent to the famous Pisa on the west coast of Italy. Of course you should see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa with own eyes, and it is more skewed than you think! To unwind and enjoy this beautiful city of Pisa, we have reserved a hotel here for you for one night.

Via the magnificent hills of Tuscany you will ride to Volterra, a medieval village with high walls and a magnificent view over the area and San Gimignano. This small but unique medieval town does lull you into a fairy tale. The beautiful tower, pedestrianized streets and picturesque shops are breathtaking. Afterwards you will drive on to Siena, where we have reserved a lovely hotel with stunning views, just outside the village.
Day 4: Siena
The medieval Siena, with its narrow, pedestrianized cobbled streets, is an experience. Eventually you will reach the impressive main square Piazza del Compo and the Gothic Palazzo Pubblico, something that ends in a valley behind the impressive church. Siena isn’t called the jewel of Tuscany for nothing. Definitely worth a visit is the wine region of Chianti.
Day 5: Siena – Florence (approx. 80 km)
This beautiful and impressive city lies between the green hills of Tuscany and Domo. This elegant fashion city with nice shopping is rich in art treasures and museums. Take a nice walk through the city and see the Campanili and the large square of Piazza della Signoria. There is plenty to do in Florence and the city life leaves a good impression. We have reserved accommodation for you.
