Take yourself to the fashion city of Milan, Verona and the special city of Venice. A wonderful car trip through northern Italy, where you can visit the most beautiful lakes of Como, Garda and Levico .Visit and discover the taste of Italy with the beautiful colours of the mountains and lakes.

Day 1: Arrival in Como / Lugano
gardameer-1Today, your will arrive at the first hotel in the surroundings of Lake Como and Lugano. Here you will spend the first 2 nights.

Day 2:  Como lake and surroundings /Lugano
For today we recommend visiting the Lake of Lugano and the city with the same name. You can visit this lake, which is more than two thirds in Switzerland and is no less than 288 m deep. After a walk through Lugano continue driving along the lake over the border to the quaint village of Valsolda. Then to the Val d’Intelvi, which together with the side-valley connects Lake Lugano and Lake Como.

Lugano-1We recommend a nice trip through the Borromean Gulf from Stresa to Vernabia. In the Middle Ages there were military garrisons on the Borromean Islands and monasteries, but that was changed by the renowned Milanese Borromeo family in the 18th century. They made a palace island of Isola Bella, a natural island of Isola Madre and a garden island of Isola Pescatori. How about a boat trip to the most famous of the three islands, Isola Bella? Here you will find the impressive Palazzo Borromeo and a magnificent baroque garden.

You can also choose today to go shopping in the elegant city of Como and then the panorama route will take you to the kindest Cadenabbia. Along the west side of Lake Como is the famous Villa Carlotta with its beautiful gardens. From Cadenabbia you may want to take a boat to the elegant resort of Bellagio. Plenty of opportunities for a wonderful holiday! A gothic cathedral, the Duomo Square, the Brera district with its many design and fashion shops, the old neighbourhood of Navigli, art galleries … what a diverse city!

Day  3: Lake Como, Lake Garda / Verona (ca. 110 mi/ 180 km)
veronaYou can drive from Lake Como, possibly with a visit to Milan to Lake Garda. There are many possibilities, such as a scenic route along the western side of the lake, past picturesque villages like Sirmione, Desenzano, Salo and the beautiful Limone. Each of these is a break in itself. Or take a scenic tour to the rugged Dolomites to Lake Molveno. If you like walking, then this natural environment gives the ideal backdrop for a solid ride. After the walk you can have a nice rest on a terrace in Molveno.

Day 4: Lake Garda / Veronagarda and surroundings
Tip for today: a visit to Verona, a city with a rich history. Things worth seeing include the balcony of Romeo and Juliet, the Scaligerbrug, the 12th-century cathedral, the Roman Arena where the summer opera performances are staged and the San Zeno Maggiore, the centre piece decorated church of northern Italy. Furthermore, you can shop to your heart’s content, and you can relax on the many terraces!

People-10Day 5: Verona – Treviso (ca 80 mi/ 150 km)
Today you will arrive at the next hotel in Treviso or nearby. We recommend that you do not opt for the highway, but take the route through the Levico Lake and the mountainous area of Vigolo Baselga On this route the elegant area of Trento is located, which has some wonderful shops. You will spend the last 3 nights of this trip in Treviso and surroundings.

Day 6: Treviso and surroundings
How about a trip to Vicenza today?.This city is known for the buildings of Palladio and is also called the “Venice of the continent ‘. You can see buildings like the San Croce, Teatro Olimpico, Basilica Paladina (the town hall) and the special Villa Rotonda.

Day 7:  Treviso
Today you could visit Venice, the city of ornate palaces, beautiful squares, numerous canals, bridges and singing gondoliers sailing through the city in slender boats will charm you. A good tip is also to combine Venice with the route of the colourful islands of Murano and Burano.
